Yvette is a painter and drawer based in New York City. Growing up between cultures and places, she has always been attuned to the quiet in-betweens. The memories, emotions, and stories that are felt more than spoken often find their way to her and shape her creative world. She loves working with oil paints for their richness and depth, while also enjoying the immediacy and delicacy of pencils and watercolors for serendipitous discoveries. 

Yvette paints not only what she sees, but also what she feels, remembers, and wonders. Her work explores the intimacy and beauty of bodily connection to time, nature, and one another. Through brushstrokes and textures, she translates emotions and memories into earthly expressions, and captures the fleeting moments that were lost and found in ambiguous familiarity.
